I’m currently a Lead SQL Specialist for a cloud-based consultancy firm and I love making SQL Server more performant and reliable.
I started this blog for a couple of reasons:
As training aid for myself. If I learn something new, cool or interesting I’m gonna blog about it. I find blogging about a ‘thing’ seriously useful for getting that information retained.
As a reference guide for others. The aim for this blog is not to detail, step by step how to configure something within SQL Server (although there will be the odd post like that). There are quite frankly MILLIONS of post like that already. However, I want to know more about the ‘why’ and not the how. I aim to experiment with topics and see what’s going on under the hood a little.
